It's been a long time since my last post, I know. But we've been busy with a thousand things, moving to Vermont among them. The moving van comes tomorrow, though, so it'll be over soon enough.
Then I'll be able to concentrate on the new book, more on which as time goes by.
In the meantime, there's one last Philadelphia event on the calendar: a luncheon keynote before the Two-Year College English Association this Friday. The TYCA is part of the National Council of Teachers of English, and I'm looking forward to getting together with them to talk about Huck and Finn in terms of their conference theme: Revolutionary Strategies.
My only regret is that I won't be able to stick around for the Saturday keynote with Jeannette Walls, whose The Glass Castle really knocked me out.
